License to kill christian book

Dec 23, Traci Marcotte rated it it was amazing. What a roller coaster ride! I will admit, this was a tough book to get through, it made me cry a few times. But I'm looking forward to the next stage in Karma and Jake's story. If you haven't read the first book, Karma, recently, I strongly recommend you go back and read it. Things happened that I had forgotten about that you'll want to know. Karma and Jake's relationship kinda goes through the wringer, trying to deal with the pack as well as lots of uncharted territory working with Karma.

A Wow! All in all, an excellent read, one that sucks you in and won't let you go. Jan 03, Jasmine rated it really liked it. More relationship than crime thriller for the sequel I enjoyed this one too, and could barely put it down for basic necessities of life and being mom of a toddler.

I do wish it was longer it was an abrupt end but I understand with how many books the author was publishing she needed to slow down for her and her employees sakes.

Dec 29, Monica DeFabia rated it it was amazing. An Exciting drama This is a wonderful continuation to Karma's story. Emotions run high, with sadness and trauma around every bend. However, there is hope for better. Just as in real life, there is no magic pill to fix everything, but I believe that fact makes the entire story more real.

What's broken, can be mended. It won't be the same, and will take time, but hope is on the horizon. All the drama plus an interesting mystery to solve, sprinkled lightly with humor. I can't wait for the next insta An Exciting drama This is a wonderful continuation to Karma's story. I can't wait for the next installment, I would give 6 stars if I could. Jan 12, Katie Knudsen rated it it was amazing. Awesome I love Karma! What i like most about this book, and all of the books written by RJ Blain, is the honest and thoughtful portrayal of what it looks like to struggle with mental health issues.

In this book Karma is dealing with a lot of issues so it is not all happy happy sunshine, but there is tremendous growth for Karma as a person, with her friendships, and in her relationship. I am waiting impatiently for the next installment! Jan 27, Maria rated it it was amazing. I give warning now there are triggering moments in the book for depression and had me in tears But i have now read the book twice and though it is tough reading Karma going through the issues it drew me in and had to keep reading Introduced to a new character who is great and definitely needs her own story Now i am looking forward to the next book in the series so want to know what happens next.

Dec 22, Jennifer Kitchens rated it it was amazing. Phenomenal This book is intense. There are strong themes here, and it isn't a light-hearted read. The protagonist, Karma, is an inspiration. She is so courageous in the face of rejection and severe depression. Karma picks herself up and keeps going. I will read this book over and over. I look forward to the next installment of her story.

Dec 23, Allyson Williams rated it it was amazing. Top notch character designer. Plot twists and turns. This is a darker, richer book that still has some laugh out loud moments. If you are looking for fluff this book isn't for you. I read it in one long glorious sitting. Jan 07, The One Tree rated it it was amazing. Absolutely solid gold No spoilers I love, love, LOVE this series so much. Truly looking forward to reading the next one when it arrives. Anticipation, wheeeeeee. Feb 05, theresa wagoner rated it it was amazing.

Enjoy the story plot and growth of the charactors I really wish we didn't have to wait long for the next book. The characters are going through a tough time now and are just starting back to working together.

I cant wait for them to be happier and resolve the mysteries for Karma! Apr 12, Nikita Gordyn rated it it was amazing. Hard subjects are covered in License to Kill, but R. Blain has done her usual amazing job of reeling me into her story and having me feel every moment her characters are struggling through, and cheer right along with them when they beat the odds and triumph in the end.

I adore this world, and I'm looking forward to more! May 14, Shana Pare rated it it was amazing. I hated this book! I loved this book. It is a complete reversal of the first book. Jake proves that, although he's a wolf, he is still human. Things happen that are heart breaking and incredibly sad.

That being said, hope does spring eternal and the end of the book is much brighter than the first three quarters of it. I do look forward to Book Three. Oct 16, Lee rated it really liked it. Fast passed but not rushed and just as enjoyable as all the rest. Thanks for being so diverse in your writing.

Warning, this book is not a comedy. I spent most of it with tears in my eyes. But it is an amazing read! In an age where mortification of sin is hardly discussed, License to Kill offers a solution. Pastors, this resource is an excellent gift to the one who just recently converted to Christ. Of course, never let it supplant the reading of the Bible! Kept me riveted as PM rolled into AM…you cannot really ask for more! Cruciform Press is quickly becoming a favorite of mine.

These little books, usually around pages, are packed full of Gospel truth and clear and practical application. There have not been many modern books that have kept me riveted as PM rolled into AM but this little book by Hedges definitely did the trick. This is not an extensive book. At pages and a generous font size, this book is easily digested in one sitting.

A highlight of this text is the immensely practical nature of the whole book. In all subjects, especially Scripture, I enjoy the abstract. I do not believe it would be an overstatement or a slight to call this John Owen-lite. The author constantly goes back to Owen and concludes the text with an encouragement to engage oneself in the writings of Owen that so greatly influenced him.

Owen is a difficult read, even when compared with other Puritan authors, but the treasures found in his writings are vast. This book does two things, and it does them quite well.

First, it introduces the writings of John Owen on mortification in a manner that will entice many to make the leap into the mind and writings of this Puritan great.

Secondly, and so much more importantly, this book will encourage many, myself included, to engage in the act of mortifying sin in a much more active and victorious manner.

For pages you cannot really ask for more! Before Dawn with the Son. It manages to be both practical and overflowing with grace at the same time. They even do subscriptions, so the first week of every month a new book turns up unbidden. Licensed to Kill is a field manual for mortifying sin. The chapters define mortification, the nature of sin, why sin is so deadly and what we can do about it.

It cuts to the heart of our pretense but at the same time graciously points us to the root anc center of all our hope, Jesus. Sin is that honey-covered poison, that secret deadly weapon, that hidden disease. We must be killing it. All of us, you as well as me. Because of that, we can all benefit from reading this book.

The fight against sin is a fight for joy, a fight for our lives. One thing I really appreciated about this book is how, at the end of every chapter, the reader is pointed back to the Gospel. Practice and grace. Thats what we need to mortify sin, and both of those are found in this excellent book. Amazon Review — March 24,
