I really like this system and the setting is awesome, but I don't have a lot of time to create my own adventures for it only have maybe hrs of free time per week and typically of that is game-time.

I'd really like to introduce my players to it, but I don't want to do that knowing there is only a few hours at most of material available to play. I am certainly keen to write more for Age of Steel. Currenlty I have a gazeteer planned, and also a book of adventure ideas. I hope to have these released in the near future, but I'm not able to say exactly when that will be. In the meantime, there are currently 2 printed adventures for Age of Steel with a total of about 12 hours of play between them depending on how your group interacts with them.

How does this game handle the bean counting elements of many standard RPGs such as HP, encumbrance, weapon ranges, ammunition, movement rates, etc.? Or does it forgo them in favour of more recent approaches? Age of Steel is a moderate crunch game: HP called Grit , weapon ranges, ammunition and movement rates are tracked in a traditional sense, but there are no rules for encumbrance. I would always advise gamemasters that the rules are there as guidelines, and any elements of the game you don't want to track can be houseruled if you prefer a simpler game.

Two questions: A what size are the softback PoDs? US Trade 6x9? It's A4, and sadly because it's A4 it can't be printed in hardback something I discovered only after layout was complete.

I might re-layout the book for hardback printing in the future. I'm going to order the pdf which is great for my ipad. If you ever decide to do a small hardback I might pick that up. As a brief overview combat works as follows: defender and attacker roll skill checks attacker's firearms vs defenders dodge for example ; if the attacker equals or exceeds the defender's roll they hit.
