Its expensive and not better than the one before it, except better gaming - that is, if the drivers work. I dont know if the SB notebooks i have in the house is the same as the ones Jarred have. Mine didnt bring a revolution, but solid battery life, like the penryn notebook and core duo i also have. In my world more or less the same if you apply a ssd for normal office work. Loads of utterly uninteresting benchmark doest mask the facts.

Hopefully it's gives more control over the output. Only other software I can find though not searched extensively yet that supports Quick Sync is Badaboom. Can't be that hard can it? TMPGEnc mastering works 5 is one that will allow you a high degree of control over resolution and it supports Quick Sync but it is intended for video editing not end users although it is not too difficult to control. Try the demo version and see how it goes.
Ok, will give it a look. Just tried Arcsoft Media Converter. Not impressed. Obviously targetting the same market as MediaEsspresso, with a simple interface rather than fine level control over the output. Did a test conversion using the same VOB as before.
