I recommend this product to anyone who is seriously looking for a great door. Also I would recommend a spare battery for the door. You never know when your house will loose power leaving your pet stuck inside with no way to go out. Previously we would need to make arrangements with someone if we couldnt get home within a 8 hr period. With this we never have to worry.
All 3 fur babies can now come and go as they please when they please! What more could a fur parent ask for! I highly recommend this product too all of my friends for their pets. We put the door on a timer to limit access but that posed a problem If the dog Is outside, there is no way for him to get back in.
There should be a way to set a time to stop exit but always allow entry for the dog Also, every time we buy a new collar unit, our dog likes the pool I have to remember to wrap it with electric tape so he doesnt scratch the unit and separate the two parts, something he does every time He manages to open the case and the battery falls out. It is a great door. And it's get a lot of used because I have 4 dogs. If you can afford it I can promise it will be the best for you and your dogs. Very secure. Nothing gets in without the collar. I even locked my self out of the house then remembered the door. So I went around knock on the door and my dogs came running up. So when the door went up I started climbing through. The door won't close as long as something is coming in. Thank god. I thought I and I was going to work.
Of course I have the large door. Worth every penny and more. Still going strong!!! No more getting up to let the dog out, no more having to put the dog in her cage when we go out. No more having to come home early when we go out cause we are worried that the dog needs to pee and is locked up in her cage.
Life is grand because of this door for both the wife and me and the dog!!! The door might be a little more expensive than other doors I give this door a 10 out of 5 stars!!!! Love it!!!!! But parts have been available and easily put in. The rocket science was in the creation of the door itself and being simple to maintain.
If you have a dog or dogs, live in your own house, this am excellent investment in peace of mind and security. So this product simply does not work for us. I'm surprised there is no way to disable or lock the control panel to prevent children from using the door, but I guess we'll have to wait for a new version with our fingers crossedespecially since we got a custom door specifically for the unique dimensions of this product. It's safe strong and has many features that I like plus the safety of our home I never felt more safe then ever. Very well made and looks great I put it though some test worked it hard and it's a 1 safe door out there today. The ms5 collar works great if my dogs go up the steps just to sit or lie down next to the door it stays close till the dog want out I love the way I can set it to the way I trained them to this adjustable feature.
If my fire alarm goes off they know to go outside. So much more I can do with this door. A must have. The cat is smarter than the dog so it took some range adjusting but eventually got it figured out. Cannot say enough good things about this door. When we sold our house the new owners requested info because they were so impressed with the unit they wanted to be sure it would stay.
